"At a local community event, a young man was asked if he knew whether he would be in heaven when he died. When he responded that he was unsure, we shared with him that the Bible gives us an assurance that whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. He was raised in a church but still didn’t know if he would be in Heaven. We explained that salvation was a free gift and that God loved him so much he gave Jesus to make a way for him to have a relationship with God through Christ. We explained that salvation was not a matter of church attendance or works based, but that each one of us fails to meet the requirements of salvation apart from Christ and if he were to pray and call upon the Lord that he would be saved! When sharing this good news, the man joyfully prayed and received Christ that moment!"
